At 900hrs We will ride through the T PC sugar cane plantation area with its small farms and houses. You'll cycle through Sugar cane plantations, mosques and churches. Your journey takes you to the nearby rice fields, where you'll make a stop and if you wish can lend a helping hand to the field workers. Afterwards you will have a better understanding how much hard work goes into one sack of rice. You continue the bike ride through the Rau Forest, a natural beauty just behind the city of Moshi. Watch out for Colobus monkeys in the tree crowns with their long fluffy tails. As you cycle through this never ending jungle, listen carefully to the animal sounds. Our last stop of the day is at the old railway station, which remains from German colonial time. You will feel like you are on a 1900s film set and can still sense the bustling energy this magical place used to have roughly a hundred years ago. Cycling to Chemka Hot Springs

This cycling tour will take you to the countryside of Moshi heading south into the enormous and beautiful sugar cane fields. A worth sight of the entire village constructed for workers by TPC, the Tanzania Plantation Company. From the lush of sugarcane, you will begin to immerse in the village and agrarian life of the local people. Keep your eye open for a spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mawenzi peak in the distance as you ride alongside fields of corn, wheat, turnips, onions, and banana. Here you will begin to share the road with the semi-nomadic Maasai herdsman leading the large herds of cattle, lambs, and goats on their way graze. As we are cycling towards the southern part of the Kilimanjaro region, this tour will take you through the oldest sugar plantation located some kilometers away from the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We will pass a green plantation of Sugar cans and head to the arid part of Simanjiro highland on the way to Nyumba ya Mungu. This is the dame created from colonial error to gather water flowing from the slope of Mount Kilimanjaro for hydroelectric power.
